Bernard Pollard knocks Stevan Ridley out of the game

By Josh Katzowitz | NFL Writer

Midway through the fourth quarter, the Patriots announced that running back Stevan Ridley would not return to the game after suffering a head injury.

And you can see why right here, via SB Nation:

There was speculation afterward that Pollard knocked out Ridley with that hit, and the way Ridley's body goes limp, that wouldn't be a surprise. We do know that Ridley fumbled (and the referee confirmed it with an officials review), and the Ravens recovered to keep safe their eight-point lead. Which they almost immediately increased to 15 after another Joe Flacco touchdown pass.

Pollard continues his reign as a Patriots killer. He injured Rob Gronkowski in the playoffs last season, he knocked Tom Brady out for the season in 2008 and he was near Wes Welker when he tore his ACL 2010.

Now, he very well could have ended Ridley's season as well.
