Marinelli a candidate for defensive coordinator job with Jaguars
Rod Marinelli is a candidate for the Jaguars' defensive coordinator position, according to league sources.
Marinelli worked with Gus Bradley, the Jags' new head coach, at Tampa Bay and Marinelli has maintained a residence in Florida.
He is also being pursued for an assistant coach position on Monte Kiffin's staff in Dallas. While the men are longtime associates, league sources said joining the Cowboys may not be as appealing as some other options.
Marinelli, former head coach of the Lions, has a deep background on the defensive side of the ball, and could have several options.
