Report: Eric Dickerson sues NFL over concussions
A number of huge names are suing the NFL over concussion-related issues. The total list of players is long and getting longer. There are Hall of Famers, Pro Bowlers and legends. But now there is perhaps the biggest name of all -- Eric Dickerson.
According to Paul Anderson, who has tracked every lawsuit against the NFL, Dickerson has now sued the NFL.
This is huge. This is about as big a development as there is on this issue of ex-players suing the sport because, while there were other Hall of Famers who have sued like Art Monk or Tony Dorsett, the former Ram Dickerson has even bigger name recognition. Bigger than Dorsett. Bigger than Super Bowl MVP Ottis Anderson. Or Jim McMahon.
The problem for the NFL is that if more of the highest of high profile former players like Dickerson sue, this could become a bigger public relations nightmare than it already is.
