Lions in 'positive' talks with WR Johnson

Team president Tom Lewand, who controls Detroit's salary cap compliance, says the team has had positive negotiations with WR Calvin Johnson over a contract extension. “(Johnson's) got a good relationship with Matthew (Stafford),” Lewand told WBBL radio. “There's a desire to keep that (relationship) together. When that desire exists, you can get deals done.”
