Williams apologizes for bounty scandal

Defensive coordinator Gregg Williams released a statement late Friday afternoon expressing regret and apologizing to the NFL and the Saints for his role in the New Orleans bounty scandal. “It was a terrible mistake, and we knew it was wrong while we were doing it," he said. "Instead of getting caught up in it, I should have stopped it. I take full responsibility for my role."
