New pickup Merling absent from OTA

The Packers signed DE Phillip Merling last week to add depth and competition along their D-line. But Merling was nowhere to be seen at Wednesday's OTA practice. It's possible Merling, who wasn't believed to be injured but had reported overweight, was indoors doing conditioning.
