Marshall went to the ground for a few seconds during individual work but got up and came right back onto the field for the next set of drills.
It was obvious nothing much had happened to him because he went through his best workout of camp, catching three deep balls from Jay Cutler, two in 7-on-7 drills and the other in full-squad scrimmage that was a 50-yard cross-field catch against CB Charles Tillman. Marshall added a one-handed grab on a curl route in scrimmage.
"Brandon Marshall is a scholarship player. I think we'll all agree with that," coach Lovie Smith said. "A little scare there early on, but of course there was nothing to it. But you always fear it when you see one of your best players going down like that."
Injury update: WR Devin Hester became the first to miss a practice due to a training camp injury after slightly hurting his ankle in a collision Friday with Major Wright. But Smith said Hester would return to practice Sunday.
Saturday night's all right: Olivet Nazarene officials estimated more than 10,000 fans watched Saturday night's practice, backing cars up on all access roads in the area for an hour before practice.
On the field: Rookie DE Shea McClellin got his first chance to rush the passer for real both in one-on-one and scrimmage work. He had one strong rush with a spin move against T J'Marcus Webb and helped disrupt a play in the full-squad scrimmage. ... Rookie TE Evan Pilgrim burned the second-team secondary for a deep ball in scrimmage and in 7 on 7. ... J'Marcus Webb and Chris Williams had time at starting T and in a two-minute drill held their own at pass blocking against Julius Peppers, Chauncey Davis and McClellin. ... The first- and second-team offenses drove to long FGs in the two-minute drill. ... The Bears originally gave DT Brian Price jersey No. 62 but changed it to 95 on Saturday. ... Newly acquired CB Jeremy Ware, signed as a free agent Saturday, is No. 48.
