Ravens Notebook: Joe Flacco wins AFC Player of the Week honors
Joe Flacco was named the AFC Player of the Week after his performance in Baltimore's 44-13 win over Cincinnati on Monday.
Flacco was 21 of 29 for 299 yards and two touchdowns. This is the second time Flacco's won the award.
"I'm happy because it means we had a good day on offense," Flacco said.
Flacco last won the honor during Week 9 of the 2008 season, when he went 17 of 29 for 248 yards and two touchdowns in a Ravens win over the Browns.
McCoy like Barry Sanders?: Ray Lewis didn't want to put Eagles' RB LeSean McCoy in that elite category yet. But based on what he's seen, Lewis likened McCoy to former Detroit Lions' RB Barry Sanders.
"(McCoy) has a little flavor," Lewis said. "I don't want to put him that high, but he's like Barry Sanders. He has that type of ability to really jump in the hole, jump out of the hole. There are so many highlights of people he's made miss tackles."
Injury report: C Matt Birk (thigh), LB Paul Kruger (back), OL Jah Reid (calf) and DE Pernell McPhee (knee) did not participate in practice Wednesday. S Ed Reed (hamstring) was limited.
