Just in case he's able to come back for a postseason run, the Baltimore Ravens have placed Ray Lewis on the injured reserve-designated to return list.
Lewis tore his right triceps late in the fourth quarter against Dallas this past Sunday. Coach John Harbaugh said Lewis' injury was season-ending on Monday, but this designation gives the organization hope for a return should the Ravens make a deep run in the playoffs.
With Lewis not counting toward the 53-man roster, LB Josh Bynes was called up from the practice squad. Bynes played in one game as a rookie in 2011, when Lewis was sidelined with turf toe.
