Bills: DE Mark Anderson on track to return soon

By Mark Ludwiczak | CBSSports.com

Bills DE Mark Anderson is making good progress with his knee injury and could return shortly after Buffalo's Week 8 bye.

“I think he's on track,” coach Chan Gailey said Wednesday. “They tell me that they haven't ruled out Houston (in Week 9), but they think in the next one [against New England in Week 10] he has a real good chance.”

Anderson his missed the last two games after suffering a knee injury against San Francisco in Week 5. Anderson has been a disappointment thus far in his Bills career (12 tackles, one sack in four games) but the Bills need all the bodies they can get on defense. They rank 31st in the NFL in yards allowed and 32nd against the run.
