The Cowboys were without wide receiver Dez Bryant for the start of Wednesday's practice, the only portion of the session media members are allowed to watch.

The club will issue an official injury report later Wednesday, as required by the NFL.

Bryant landed awkwardly on his hip at the end of Sunday's game against the Giants when he made a catch that was rule out of bounds, negating a game-winning touchdown.

Coach Jason Garrett said on Monday he didn't think Bryant's injury was serious, but apparently it's enough to keep him out for the first day of practice this week.

Also missing practice included RB DeMarco Murray (foot), DE Jason Hatcher, LB Dan Connor (neck) and DE Sean Lissemore.
