The Ravens may be without S Ed Reed next Sunday as the NFL announced he will be suspended for a game for a helmet-to-helmet hit Sunday night.

Reed led with his head and connected with Steelers WR Emmanuel Sanders in the second half, drawing a 15-yard penalty. This is the third time in three years that Reed has drawn this penalty, and the second time this year.

Reed told Ravens coach John Harbaugh that he will appeal the suspension, and Harbaugh said the NFL has already informed him that it will make a decision on the appeal before Wednesday. If the suspension is upheld, Reed will not play Sunday in San Diego against the Chargers.
