Giants Notebook: Tom Coughlin, Jerry Reese consider adding running back

By Alex Raskin | CBSSports.com

With the loss of RB Andre Brown (short-term IR, broken fibula), the Giants have only two running backs -- Ahmad Bradshaw and David Wilson -- on the roster, which means they'll likely use their open roster spot on another runner.

“That would be about as thin as you could make it,” coach Tom Coughlin said of the two-man depth chart. “We'll have to look at that for the next couple days.”

The Giants recently worked out former Colt RB Joseph Addai, according to a Tweet by USA Today's Mike Garafolo, but the team could also look to replace the bruising Brown with a bigger back.

Schedule stays intact, so far: The NFL announced that the Giants' games against the Saints, Falcons and Ravens will not be flexed into primetime. The only remaining game that could be flexed into primetime is the Week 17 matchup with the Eagles at 1 p.m. on Dec. 30.

Giants waive CB Michael Coe: Coe, who was on IR since Nov. 10 with a lower leg injury, is now free to sign with any other team.

Next practice: The Giants won't practice until Thursday because they play on Monday night next week.
