Cornerback Sterling Moore has left the Patriots practice squad to join the Dallas Cowboys, according to his agent, Jordan Woy.
Moore, who was signed by the Patriots in 2011, was active for the first eight games of the season before being waived on Oct. 31 and re-signed to the practice squad. He is best known for breaking up a pass to Baltimore receiver Lee Evans in the waning moments of the AFC Championship.
Moore will likely have a better chance to play in Dallas and his salary of $149,900 will increase to $390,000, assuming he is paid the league minimum.
The Cowboys must keep Moore on the 53-man roster for at least three weeks.
