The New England Patriots may once again have to prepare for life without Julian Edelman.

The wide receiver was knocked out of Sunday's 23-16 win over the Miami Dolphins with a foot injury in the fourth quarter, and it is being reported by ESPN that Edelman was seen leaving Sun Life Stadium on crutches and in a walking boot.

Edelman was listed as questionable entering the game after suffering a concussion last week against the New York Jets. He also missed three games earlier this year with a hand injury.

The fourth-year player has 21 catches for 235 yards and three touchdowns. He has also scored twice on special teams.

Matthew Slater stood in as the third receiver after Edelman was injured. With only four receivers on the roster, the Patriots may have to make a move to add depth if Edelman's injury is serious.
