Eagles head athletics trainer Rick Burkholder said on Friday that both players are still in Phase 4 of a five-step recovery program.
Vick hasn't passed his baseline test yet and is still having problems focusing his eyes at times, Burkholder said.
McCoy still has symptoms, especially at night, primarily fatigue and headaches. That concerned Burkholder enough to send McCoy to a specialist in Pittsburgh this week.
But Burkholder also said both players are exercising “at a high level of activity,” which has included lifting weights, running sprints and playing basketball.
“I'm not overly concerned about either of them,'' he said. “There are no big red flags.”
In other injury news, free safety Kurt Coleman won't play against Tampa Bay because of a bruised sternum and veteran Colt Anderson will start in his place.
And defensive tackle Mike Patterson won't play after being diagnosed with viral pneumonia. Patterson spent Thursday night in a local hospital for observation and Burkholder said his illness isn't related to the condition for which Patterson had brain surgery last winter.
