Bills players and coaches were thrilled to hear about the team's new lease agreement that was announced on Friday. The deal essentially keeps the Bills in Western New York for at least the next seven years.

“Well, I think it's great for these great fans, the loyal fans that they are,” coach Chan Gailey said. “It's a win-win it looks like to me for everybody.”

The Bills were practicing during the team's joint press conference with the state and Erie County on Friday morning, so the players weren't aware of the full details when they spoke with reporters after practice. But they were all glad to hear of the team's long-term future in Buffalo.

“Me, I like the deal,” WR Steve Johnson said. “I know I'm here for another five. So I'm happy about it. I like the area, that's why I re-signed. I think that's just comforting for the fans outside, to know that we'll be here for another seven."

Said DT Kyle Williams: “I am glad to know that's taken care of for the foreseeable future. I think it's great news for the community, our fans. I think it's great news. I enjoy hearing that news. I've been here a while and want to be here a while. That's exciting.

“We don't pay much attention to that, but now that all those things are done and we're here for the foreseeable future, this is where we need to be," Williams said. "This is where this franchise needs to be. I think that's good news.”
