Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III will see Dr. James Andrews about his injured right knee, coach Mike Shanahan said Monday, adding that he does not know the extent of the injury.
Griffin's knee buckled as he lunged for a bad shotgun snap in the fourth quarter of Sunday's 24-14 playoff loss to Seattle.
“There is a concern,” said Shanahan, who would not discuss the results of an MRI taken Sunday night.
Shanahan, who's been blasted for leaving Griffin in when the rookie clearly was limited, said he talked to doctors three to four times during the game, adding, "I thought we made the right decisions."
Andrews, the famed orthopedist, told USA Today Sports before the game that he was "scared to death" over Griffin playing with an injured knee and a brace.
