Bears wide receiver Brandon Marshall told the Chicago Sun-Times that he underwent a minor scope on his hip Tuesday night.
"Just a little clean-up," he told the paper.
The paper did not specify which hip was treated. Marshall had surgery on his left hip in 2009 and a right hip procedure in 2010.
In his first year with the Bears, Marshall ranked second in the NFL with 118 catches and third with 1,508 receiving yards. His 11 receiving touchdowns tied for fourth.
The Jay Cutler-led offense will look different next season under new head coach Marc Trestman, a QB guru who's been in the CFL the last five years.
Marshall, last year's Pro Bowl MVP, confirmed that he'll miss this year's game on Jan. 27 in Hawaii.
