Video: Boston mayor discusses Pats stars 'Wilcock' and 'Gonk'

Boston Mayor Tom Menino is not a sports fan. This much is obvious. While discussing a bet he made with Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake, Menino bragged about Vince "Wilcock" and "Gonk."
"... And ... Wilcock?" The mayor mumbles hesitantly before being corrected, as the players' names are Vince Wilfork and Rob Gronkowski. Adding later, "Hernandez has done a great job as he steps in for Gonk, cuz Gonk's hurt."

This is not the first time Menino has butchered the names of Boston-area stars. He once referred to Rajon Rondo and Kevin Garnett as "Hondo and KJ ... And who could forget "Wes Wekler, and "Varitek splitting the uprights." (By Varitek, of course, he meant Adam Vinatieri.)
In a similarly botched attempt to connect with his constituency, Denver Mayor Michael Hancock was injured preparing to imitate Ray Lewis' pregame dance after losing a bet to Rawlings-Blake.
