2013 Super Bowl: 3 sure-fire prop bets

By Evan Hilbert | CBSSports.com

It just wouldn't be the Super Bowl without gamblers wagering on silly things, such as the length of Alicia Keys' rendition of the National Anthem. These bets -- and many others -- are referred to as "prop bets." There's no foolproof way of determining such outcomes, but some are a little easier to predict than others when the 49ers and Ravens meet in Super Bowl XLVII.

Here are the three most sure-fire prop bets:

Bet: How many yards will the first touchdown pass be?

Line: Over/Under 10.5

Pick: Take the over. Of their 11 combined touchdown passes in the playoffs, Colin Kaepernick and Joe Flacco have combined for just three that were fewer than 10 yards.

Bet: Which team will kick the longest field goal?

Line: Pick -- Ravens/49ers

Pick: Again, past performances determines the winner here. Ravens kicker Justin Tucker has hit 15 field goals of at least 40 yards compared to David Akers' nine. Plus, Akers' confidence can't be great right now. Take Baltimore.

Bet: How many times will the Harbaugh parents be shown on TV?

Line: Over/Under 2

Pick: Seriously? There will be a camera on John and Jim's mom and dad at all times to catch any and all reactions to any and all on-field occurrences. Over. Plus a million.
