Ravens nearly lost Lombardi Trophy

By Evan Hilbert | CBSSports.com

Given what it took to get it, one would assume that the Baltimore Ravens would be a little more careful with the Lombardi Trophy. It is, after all, the prize awarded to the winner of the Super Bowl. Well, they weren't, as John Harbaugh admitted at a Monday press conference.

After defeating the San Francisco 49ers 34-31 in Super Bowl XLVII, Harbaugh said the trophy went missing at some point during the postgame celebration.

"We hadn't seen this [trophy] since last night," Harbaugh said. "We thought we lost it."

Luckily for Baltimore, the physical symbol representing the team's months and months of commitment was returned unharmed.
