Report: Eagles to ask Nnamdi Asomugha to restructure contract

By Evan Hilbert | CBSSports.com

The Philadelphia Eagles will ask cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha to reduce his contract or be cut, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Asomugha is due to make $15 million in 2013.

Eagles general manager Howie Roseman and Asomugha's agent are reportedly scheduled to meet Friday morning to discuss the matter.

Asomugha is guaranteed $4 million, but it appears the Eagles aren't planning to pay much more.

"I think Nnamdi has the skill set...that can play football," coach Chip Kelly said Thursday at the NFL combine.
