Report: Jets snub Darrelle Revis' reps at NFL Combine

Jets brass found time during the NFL Combine to meet with representatives of wideout Santonio Holmes, tight ends Dustin Keller and Jeff Cumberland, tackle Austin Howard, running back Shonn Greene and safety LaRon Landry.
But they didn't find time for the team's best player, Darrelle Revis, the New York Daily News reported Tuesday, calling it a “brushoff” and a “snub.”
It's another development sure to intensify trade speculation surrounding the 27-year-old Revis. Yahoo! reported Tuesday that multiple teams called the Jets during the combine for preliminary trade talks.
As the combine opened, new general manager John Idzik and coach Rex Ryan tried to calm a storm that began with CBS Sports NFL Insider Jason La Canfora reporting the Jets would explore options to trade the star corner.
"Plain and simple, it's not accurate. I told [Revis] that," Ryan said. "There's no validity to that trade."
Revis will be an unrestricted free agent after this season and the Jets can't franchise him. They also don't seem interested in fulfilling Revis' wish to be the NFL's highest-paid defensive player, which would cost about $16 million annually. Owner Woody Johnson, according to La Canfora, would prefer to get value for Revis now rather than let him walk in a year.

A source told the News that Idzik hasn't reached out to Revis' reps since being hired a month ago. Neither Revis' agent nor the Jets would comment on the report.
