McCarron leads list of Week 11 risers; Mariota among those slipping
NFLDraftScout.com Senior Analyst Rob Rang joined CBSSports.com's Kevin Corke to discuss five Risers and Fallers from Week 11 of the college football season.
With two full months of the college football season finished, NFL prospects have had plenty of opportunity to create an impression on NFL scouts.
Some have boosted their grades through the process. Others haven't played up to their previous standards and are slipping down draft boards as a result.
It might be a few weeks still until Thanksgiving but Week 11 of the college football season offered several huge matchups for NFL scouts to feast upon.
Alabama quarterback AJ McCarron helped the Tide roll to a 38-17 victory against LSU with deadly efficiency. His performance served as a stark contrast to the mistakes Tigers quarterback Zach Mettenberger made.
Quarterback play also played a critical role in Stanford's victory against the Oregon Ducks last week. Oregon's Marcus Mariota certainly possesses all of the physical traits NFL scouts are looking for but his lack of awareness resulted in two critical fumbles against the Cardinal that helped seal Oregon's fate and could push the redshirt sophomore back to Eugene for another campaign before taking an early leap to the NFL.
For those more interested in names rather than the explanations behind the movement in NFLDraftScout.com's rankings, the full list of Five Risers and Fallers from Week 11 of the college football season is below.
