Video: Arizona's Ka'Deem Carey rising, Hokies' Logan Thomas falling
NFLDraftScout.com senior analyst Rob Rang joined Kevin Corke to identify five NFL prospects rising and five falling after Week 10 of the college football season.
With two full months of the college football season finished, NFL prospects have had plenty of opportunity to create an impression on NFL scouts.
Some have boosted their grades through the process. Others haven't played up to their previous standards and are slipping down draft boards as a result.
The 2013 NFL Draft was notable in that for the first time in 50 years, no running backs were selected in the first round. The lack of top flight skill position talent carried over to quarterback, as the Buffalo Bills made EJ Manuel the only passer to make the first 32 picks.
NFLDraftScout.com senior analyst Rob Rang joined CBSSports.com's Kevin Corke to discuss one running back (Arizona's Ka'Deem Carey) who could reverse the recent trend of rushers falling into the later rounds, as well as a quarterback (Virginia Tech's Logan Thomas) with the traits every bit as impressive as Manuel's but whose inconsistency could push him much deeper down the board come draft day.
In the video, Rang provides an explanation for why Carey - currently the nation's leading rusher - is rising, as well as why Florida State left tackle Cameron Erving could have a similar silent but substantial rise up draft boards as a former Texas A&M blocker Luke Joeckel.
For those more interested in names rather than the explanations behind the movement in NFLDraftScout.com's rankings, the full list of Five Risers and Fallers from Week 10 of the college football season is below.
