More Draft: NFL Mock Drafts | Prospect Rankings| NFL combine workout results

INDIANAPOLIS -- As the 2014 scouting combine prepares for the on-field workout phase of tests here Saturday, here is a look at the best results since the start of the century.

Results of the headline event, the 40-yard dash, are listed in order of the fastest verified time at the combine, regardless of the timing method used -- hand held, electronic or a combination.

Also included are the NFL's announced times for those same 40-yard dashes, which are reported to be results from runs begun with a hand-held timer and ended by crossing an electronic beam.

Top Results from NFL scouting combines: 2000-2013
