Florida State defensive tackle Timmy Jernigan and LSU quarterback Zach Mettenberger were among more than 10 prospects who were red flagged to NFL teams as having failed drug tests at the Scouting Combine for either testing positive for a banned substance or having a diluted urine sample, according to FOX Sports.

Jernigan is the No. 24 overall prospect and No. 3-rated defensive tackle in the 2014 class by NFLDraftScout.com, and is projected as a first-round pick. He's viewed as a rare athlete for his size who can shed blocks and penetrate the backfield. Jernigan's agent, Sunny Shah, declined comment when contacted by FOX Sports.

Mettenberger is projected as a third- to fourth-round pick. His agent, Joe Linta, confirmed that Mettenberger was found to have a diluted sample, but that it was due to treatment for cramping. Linta provided a letter from a doctor at the time that outlined the course of treatment.

"The kid didn't do anything wrong," Linta said. "He was doing what the doctor told him to do."

Earlier Monday, Miami offensive tackle Seantrel Henderson was identified as having tested positive for marijuana at the combine. LSU defensive tackle Anthony Johnson and Florida State linebackers Telvin Smith and Christian Jones were other players identified in the FOX Sports report.

Players who tested positive at the combine would be subject to the league's drug program.
