Former San Diego State running back Adam Muema went undrafted, but he is plotting a professional career outside of football.
Muema is hopeful of a chance in mixed martial arts or boxing in the near future.
Muema, who infamously left the 2014 NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis before workouts began and said God told him he'd play for the Seattle Seahawks, was not present for the program's pro day workout. He told ESPN he left town without a cell phone during the NFL draft.
"I don't like being a slave to money or coaches," Muema said. "I prefer an individual sport."
Muema racked up 1,244 yards and 15 touchdowns as a junior for the Aztecs.
Friends and family shared their concern with Muema's state to media in early March. And when he said March 29 he was "missing football ridiculous right now" it was counter to his outward signs eight days earlier -- when he no-showed for his pro day workout March 21. A week prior, adviser Rob London announced he was no longer working with Muema.
"While Adam succeeded in building his physique, I cannot with confidence say the same regarding his mental preparation," London said.
He seemingly lost interest in the process after disappearing from the combine in February.
Two days before the draft, Muema said via Twitter: "Hahaha rams just called me."
On Tuesday, he was back on Twitter:
