04/02/2010 - PRO DAY RESULTS: Three Duke players who were not at the NFL Scouting Combine ??? DB Leon Wright, LB Vincent Rey and DE Ayanga Okpokowuruk - helped their chances of catching on with an NFL team at the school's pro day. Seventeen teams turned out for the event to watch nine Duke players and four others from small schools in the area. Rey (6-2, 240) ran a 4.59 and 4.58 40, a 4.28 short shuttle and a 6.89 three-cone drill.     Returning starting linebacker … scheduled to move to the middle after playing on the weak side a season ago … preseason second team All-ACC selection by Lindy's, Athlon Sports and Phil Steele's College Football Preview … charted as the No. 16 outside linebacker in the country by Phil Steele's College Football Preview … has ranked among the top five in the ACC in tackles per game in each of the past two years … Duke's top returning tackler from a season ago … possesses good strength and quickness … received the Blue Devil Heart Award following spring practice … second among active players in the ACC in career tackles (232) … only active player in the ACC to have recorded 100 or more tackles in each of the past two seasons … Duke's active leader in tackles, caused fumbles (3) and fumble recoveries (4) … joins John Zuanich as the only two players in Duke history with two fumble returns for touchdowns.

    2008 Season

    Played in all 12 games with 11 starts in 2008. Finished second on the team in tackles with 109. Ranked fifth in the ACC in tackles per game (9.1). Had three games with double figures in the tackle column, including each of the last three outings of the year. ACC Player of the Week after 12-tackle, 4.0-TFL performance against Navy that included a fumble return for a touchdown. Also returned a fumble for a touchdown vs. North Carolina.

    2007 Season

    Started all 12 games in 2007. Led Duke and ranked sixth in the ACC with 111 tackles. Reached double figures in the tackle column in seven games including a careerbest

    17 stops against Connecticut. Added 8.5 tackles for loss and 2.5 quarterback sacks. ACC Player of the Week honoree following 11-tackle game at Northwestern.

    2006 Season

    Played in all 12 games … registered 12 tackles … had a season-high three tackles along with first career tackle for loss at Boston College … on the field for 254 snaps including a season-best 39 at Georgia Tech.

    High School

    Lettered one season at Mercersburg Academy under coach Dan Walker … listed as the 77th-best linebacker in the nation by Scout.com … all-region selection by PrepStar magazine … logged 94 tackles, five sacks and one interception while helping Mercersburg to a 9-1 record and league championship … played for Joe Capuana at Bayside High School.
