10/09/2009 - THIS WEEK'S GAME: Indiana at Virginia, Oct. 10 - This is the first-ever meeting between the Cavaliers and Hoosiers. Virginia is looking to build momentum after winning its first game of the season against North Carolina. Indiana is trying to stop a two-game losing streak after starting the season 3-0. KEYS TO THE GAME: The Cavaliers must deal with the physical nature of the Hoosiers. They've given up the most sacks in the nation, and the Hoosiers know how to pressure the QB. Virginia run-blocked well in its win over North Carolina, and that could be the key to gaining its second victory of the season. SCOUTING THE OFFENSE: The Cavaliers continue to mix head coach Al Groh's pro-style offense with the spread offense that first-year offensive coordinator Gregg Brandon installed. Virginia's players are clearly more comfortable using the old offense, which makes more use of the tight end and fullback and gives the offensive line more help in protection. PLAYERS TO WATCH: RB Mikell Simpson - The senior had his first 100-yard rushing game in two years against North Carolina. With true freshman Dominique Wallace out for the season after foot surgery and redshirt freshman Torrey Mack struggling, Simpson will be counted on to carry the load the rest of the season.
