10/17/2011 - WEEK 7 PAC-12 DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Utah defensive end Derrick Shelby, a senior from Houston, Texas, had perhaps the best overall game of his career, leading Utah in tackles (7), sacks (1.5), tackles for loss (2.5) and pass breakups (2) in the 26-14 win at Pittsburgh. He made a critical interception with 1:36 remaining and Utah clinging to a 19-14 lead, returning it 21 yards for a touchdown. Shelby was named the Walter Camp National Defensive Player of the Week for his performance.
