Strengths: Bowling ball-type of runner with good muscle definition and bulk throughout his frame. Physical, tough runner who will lower his pads and push the pile. Does a nice job following blocks and picking his way through a crowd. Doesn't cheat himself and runs hard to get everything out of every run. Hard worker and talked of highly by teammates and coaches. Tenacious blocker and does a nice job squaring up his target and delivering a pop at the point. Good production with a pair of 1,000+ yard seasons over his three years as the feature back.
Weaknesses: Needs a few steps to accelerate and lacks sudden burst to run away from defenders. Lacks the top-end speed to reach the edge or be anything more than a short-yardage back. Lacks the body fluidity or ankle flexion to quickly change directions or make defenders miss. Doesn't flash many elusive moves and lacks dynamic shiftiness. Needs to run with consistent pad level to maximize each run. Not much of a factor as a receiver in college (30 career catches).
