Strengths: Good vision as a return man with extensive experience as a kick returner (3 career touchdowns on kick returns). Good straight-line speed with a second gear to separate or close ground. Physical and aggressive, not afraid to throw his body around. Good ball skills with seven career interceptions and plays bigger than his size would indicate with good leaping ability. Two-year starter at cornerback. Impressed during his pre-draft work outs and gives special teams value.
Weaknesses: Inconsistent tackler, struggling to break down in space and is a liability in this area. Needs to do a better job locating the ball with his back to the ball and shows poor anticipation, especially downfield. Too grabby and physical in coverage and will attract penalties at the next level. Lacks NFL measureables with poor height, short arms and small hands. Quicker than fast and takes a few steps to get up to full speed. Mistimed jump in coverage and needs to show better ball awareness. Allowed too many big passing plays, even as a senior, lacking the fluidity to hold up in man coverage.
