Cooper was a highly-rated wide receiver out of Connecticut who ranked second in state history with 3,014 career receiving yards, 43 receiving touchdowns and 13 consecutive games with a touchdown catch.
He saw action in two games in 2008 and six more in 2009 before making the switch to cornerback. Cooper appeared in nine games in 2010, finishing with 16 tackles and two pass breakups.
He appeared in all 13 games as a junior and again last season. Cooper finished his senior season with 42 tackles and three pass breakups.
