12/27/2011 - Scouting the Western Michigan special teams: PK John Potter is among the most dependable kickers in the MAC. He holds the school record for consecutive PAT kicks made with 117, including 54 in a row this year. He also is 15-for-21 on field goals this year. P Ben Armer averages 41.5 yards per punt (helping the Broncos stand fourth in the MAC in net punting at 37.0), and Jordan White is the MAC's top punt returner with a 13.1-yard average runback. - The Sports Xchange
Potter holds the school record for the most consecutive extra-point attempts made (117), and was 15 of 21 on field-goal attempts in 2011.
He was voted to the All-MAC third team by the media as a senior, and leaves the program as the school's all-time scoring leader among kickers (333 points). Potter also registered 36 career tackles.
