11/11/2011 - SCOUTING THE DEFENSE: South Florida leads the Big East in rushing offense, in part because QB B.J. Daniels is dangerous when he takes off with the ball and in part because Daniels hasn't had a great year throwing the football. The receiver to watch is Sterling Griffin, who leads the team with 40 receptions for 493 yards and is the primary concern for a secondary vulnerable to the big play. PLAYERS TO WATCH: S Phillip Thomas has six interceptions this season, most in the Big East and tied for third in the country.
