Toomer didn't score an invite to the Combine, but scouts took notice when he ran a 4.53-second 40 and posted a 42-inch vertical at Idaho's pro day.
A second-team all-conference pick in 2011, Toomer missed the previous season due to injury. He didn't just return, Toomer was the Vandals' most versatile player in 2011, playing two linebacker spots, defensive end and even saw a few snaps at fullback. His time on the offensive side of the ball included three touchdowns against Utah State.
The Las Vegas native spent two seasons at Arizona Western before transfering to Idaho for the 2009 season.
