Player Overview

Leslie started his career at UTEP and led the team in receiving as a sophomore and junior, but with the new coaching staff transitioning the offense to a run-first approach, he looked to transfer for his final season in 2014, enrolling at BYU - graduated in Spring 2014 with a degree in engineering (3.7 GPA) so he wasn't required to sit out a season. He started all 13 games for the Cougars as a senior and finished second on the team with 55 receptions for 779 yards and six scores.

Strengths Weaknesses

Leslie is leaner than ideal, but he has a good-sized catching radius, using every inch of his length to pluck and finish catches away from his body. He flashes explosive traits in his lower body, but doesn't always use his skills in unison to separate and his route running needs fine-tuning. Leslie, who is described by his coaches as the "smartest and most competitive" player on the team, has quick hands and impressive height/speed combination that NFL teams are looking for - underrated talent.
