Height/Weight: 6-5 / 307 lbs.

Player Overview

Scott was a three-sport athlete out of Douglas, Ga. who went on to become a three-year starter for the Thundering Herd. He was a second team All-Conference USA selection as a senior.

While that did not earn him an invitation to the scouting combine, he did participate in Marshall's March 12 pro day, being credited with a 5.05-second 40-yard dash, 25 reps on the 225-pound bench press, a 33 1/2-inch vertical, 9'7" broad jump, 4.40 short shuttle and 7.09 3-cone drill.

Scott made several pre-draft team visits, including San Diego, Miami, Cincinnati and Kansas City. Teams see him as a potential versatile backup with the ability to play tackle or guard.

Strengths Weaknesses

STRENGTHS: Excellent size for the position and displays good overall athleticism, which helps him recover when beat initially. Anchors well in pass protection. Quick, active feet and gets to the second level quickly to engage linebackers. Blocks well on the move. Good experience as a three-year starter.

WEAKNESSES: Lacks great functional strength, as he struggles to drive defensive linemen off the ball. Needs to improve upper-body strength to be real factor in the run game. Gets beat off the snap too often, and can be driven back into the quarterback as a result.
