Hunter, who earned his degree in only three-and-a-half years, delivers a punch at the point of attack (520-pound bench press) and uses leverage and lower body engine (750-squat) to drive blockers backwards. He is a tough run stuffer in the middle who isn't an easy defender to move, but he does tend to wear down and offers little impact as a pass rusher.
While not the best athlete at the position, Hunter keeps the motor revving to work up and down the line and with the active mentality to attack-and-pursue - best fit in the NFL is likely as a one-gap nose who can add depth on the backend of the roster.
A three-year starter, Charles "Chucky" Hunter is name often overlooked when discussing the top playmakers on TCU's stout defense, but he has been the anchor of the defensive line for the Horned Frogs since his freshman season. He set career-bests as a season with 44 tackles and 9.5 tackles for loss, earning Second Team All-Big 12 honors the last two years.
