Player Overview

Fairbairn finished strong with an outstanding senior season, earning 2015 the Lou Groza Award. He improved his accuracy every season and became the first Bruin to score 100-plus points in four straight seasons.

Although he has room to tweak aspects of his process, Fairburn earned an invitation to the Scouting Combine and has talent to warrant late-round consideration, especially with his versatility on kickoffs.

Strengths Weaknesses

STRENGTHS: Good leg strength with coordinated set-up and follow through. Connected on all 16 of his field goal attempts under 40 yards in 2015. Was 0-of-3 on field goal attempts 50+ yards his first three seasons, but went 2-of-3 from that distance as a senior, including a personal-best and school-record 60-yard field goal vs. Cal. Finished his career by making 41 straight field goals from under 35 yards.

Added kickoff duties as a sophomore with zero kicks out of bounds and 62.7-percent of his kickoffs resulting in a touchback. Four-year starter and the Pac-12's all-time leading scorer (413 points). Mentally tough and focuses on the details, earning praise from his coaches for his continued focus.

WEAKNESSES: Needs to quicken his approach from snap to strike. Connected on a 60-yarder in 2015, but his career long over his first three seasons was only 48 yards, missing on all of his attempts 50+ yards. Unproven in clutch situations.
