05/13/2015 - Florida is down to two scholarship quarterbacks. Coach Jim McElwain said Wednesday on a Southeastern Conference coaches' call that Skyler Mornhinweg left the program and intends to transfer to Columbia University. Mornhinweg's decision leaves the Gators with just redshirt freshman Will Grier and sophomore Treon Harris on scholarship. Citing NCAA rules, McElwain declined to say whether former Notre Dame quarterback Everett Golson visited Florida on Tuesday as reported. Golson visited Florida State on Monday, Seminoles coach Jimbo Fisher confirmed, and reportedly has several other trips planned. Former Alabama and Oregon State quarterback Luke Del Rio is expected to land at Florida later this summer. Del Rio is the son of former Jacksonville Jaguars coach and current Oakland Raiders coach Jack Del Rio. He played high school ball in nearby Jacksonville and Denver. Golson is transferring as a graduate student, meaning he would be eligible to play immediately. - AP Sports
