Player Overview

A three-star fullback recruit, Hicks lined up at defensive tackle in high school, but stayed on offense at Georgia. Although he was used primarily as a blocking back and special teamer over his career, he took advantage of his opportunities when the ball came his way with three rushing touchdowns, averaging 7.2 yards per rush. Hicks also shows adequate receiving skills, finishing with 12 receptions for 132 yards over his career.

Strengths Weaknesses

He has a hulking frame and carries his weight well as both a ballcarrier and blocker, advancing to the second level to take on linebackers. Hicks shows no reservations about sacrificing his body as a lead blocker, hitting holes with a fearless, competitive mentality. He needs some fine-tuning in pass protection, but generally gets the job done.

Hicks stayed healthy his entire career, but is coming off left knee surgery (Jan. 2016), missing most of the pre-draft process. Hicks can stick on a NFL roster due to his run blocking and promise catching the ball.
