02/17/2010 - The Bears have taken a liking to players coming out of the Texas vs. The Nation all-star game in the past and this year is no exception. They have invited TCU offensive tackle Nic Richmond for a pre-draft visit to Halas Hall. Richmond, a 6-7, 307-pounder, played both tackle positions for the Horned Frogs but was primarily right tackle. Although he was skipped over for the scouting combine, which begins next week in Indianapolis, Richmond is a projected draft pick and there were some solid linemen in the Texas game last year who were drafted, including Green Bay's T.J. Lang, a player the Bears liked. Richmond's pro day will be March 12 at the school and then the Bears will bring him in with the most important step in the process being a physical. Teams are permitted to bring in a maximum of 30 players for pre-draft visits. The Bears' college scouts have been at Halas Hall since last Thursday in preparation for the combine. - Brad Biggs, The Chicago Tribune

10/09/2009 - Senior LT Nic Richmond started at left tackle against SMU, ending a streak of 29 consecutive starts for senior LT Marshall Newhouse. Newhouse still played in the game.
