11/22/2011 - WEEK 12 ACC OFFENSIVE LINEMAN OF THE WEEK: Blake DeChristopher, Virginia Tech, Sr., OT, 6-5, 311, Midlothian, Va. Playing in his last game at Lane Stadium, DeChristopher played all 74 offensive snaps, grading out at 86 percent with a team-high seven knockdown blocks. He had a key push on Logan Thomas on a 4th-and-1 sneak for a first down and sprung David Wilson for several big runs. He has graded out at 91 percent for the season with a team-high 100 knockdown blocks. - ACC football

DeChristopher led an offensive line that put up nearly 500 yards of total offense in Tech's win over Miami. 08/09/2011 - OT Blake DeChristopher has a strained left pectoral muscle and will be out for at least a month, the school announced August 2. DeChristopher was the Hokies' top lineman and his loss is a setback, although the early schedule is relatively soft compared to 2010, when Tech opened with Boise State. To replace DeChristopher in the first week of the regular season and possibly for the week two trip to East Carolina the Hokies could move center Michael Via to tackle permanently. He's played both positions in the past two seasons.
08/02/2011 - Virginia Tech starting offensive tackle Blake DeChristopher will miss four to six weeks with a strained left pectoral muscle, the school announced Tuesday afternoon. If he misses the full amount, DeChristopher could miss the first two games of the season against Appalachian State and East Carolina. Tech, (2nd Team All-ACC, has made 37 career starts), has been selected to the Rotary Lombardi Award Preseason watch list for the 2011 college football season. Eligibility for the Rotary Lombardi Award is limited to down linemen, end-to-end, either on offense of defense, who set up no farther than 10 yards to the left or right of the ball, and linebackers who set up no father than five yards deep from the line of scrimmage. 07/11/2011 - 2011 OUTLAND TROPHY PRESEASON WATCH LIST: Blake DeChristopher, Virginia Tech, OT, has been selected one of 65 players named to Preseason Outland Trophy Watch List for the 2011 college football season.
