12/16/2011 - 2011 CONFERENCE USA SECOND TEAM (COACHES): DL-Dezman Moses, Sr., Tulane, has been selected All-Conference USA Second Team for the 2011 college football season as selected by the league's 12 head football coaches. Moses, who hails from Willingboro, N.J., played just two seasons for the Green Wave but carved his name into the TU record books. An honorable mention selection last season, he played in all 13 games and logged 9.5 sacks this season, which ranked third among C-USA players and 17th nationally, and also ranks third on TU's single season chart. Moses completed his career with 15.5 sacks, which is good enough for fourth all-time on the Green Wave's career list. He also added 52 tackles (33 solo/19 assists), the most among TU's defensive linemen, 12 stops for lost yardage, seven quarterback hurries, five pass breakups and forced three fumbles. - Tulane football

10/18/2011 - A person familiar with the decision says Tulane head coach Bob Toledo has resigned. The person spoke to The Associated Press of Toledo's decision on condition of anonymity because the university was not planning to announce the move until later Tuesday. Toledo, a former head coach at UCLA, took over at Tulane in 2007, the Green Wave's second season back in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina. Although he was 13-35 in his first four years, Toledo received a two-year extension after last season in the hope his recruiting efforts would pay off with a winning season in 2011. Tulane, however, is off to a 2-5 start that has included lopsided losses to Tulsa, Duke, Army and UTEP. Tulane plays its homecoming game this Saturday against Memphis. - AP Sports

08/26/2011 - If the Wave doesn't have people capable of stretching the defense, that will allow opponents to stack up a running game that looks promising with the return of Orleans Darkwa (925 yards rushing as a freshman last year) and senior Albert Williams (370). Defensively, the Wave has one of the top tacklers in the country in linebacker Trent Mackey (more than 10 stops a game) and an excellent pass rusher in end Dezman Moses (six sacks despite missing two games). But the Wave must find four new starters on the unit, including two in the secondary to take over for departed cornerback Phillip Davis (three interceptions) and strong safety Alex Wacha (two picks, 91 tackles). - The Sports Xchange

06/13/2011 - PLAYERS TO WATCH IN 2011: DE Dezman Moses was suspended for the first two games but still recorded six sacks in his first season at Tulane after transferring from junior college. He had 11.5 tackles-for-loss among his 51 tackles. - The Sports Xchange
