03/28/2012 - Kelcie McCray improved on his combine results at Arkansas State's Pro-Day. The Hardaway alum is expected to be a fourth to sixth round pick at safety in the NFL draft. At pro-day McCray ran a 4.52 40-yard dash, a .02 improvement from the combine. In Jonesboro on Tuesday he recorded a 33.5-inch vertical leap, 10-foot-2 broad jump, 4.33 short shuttle and 7.30 three-cone drill. FIU's leading rusher, Khedrik Rhodes, has recorded two 100-yard rushing games this season and is ranked No. 2 in the Sun Belt in rushing yards per game. A-State was the first to hold WKU running back Bobby Rainey under 100 yards in eight games and also held Virginia Tech's David Wilson, the nation's seventh leading rusher, under 100 yards earlier this season. 10/10/2011 - WEEK 6 SUN BELT DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Kelcie McCray (Arkansas State, Sr., DB)...Senior Safety Kelcie McCray recorded two interceptions against ULM to help lead the Red Wolves to their 24-19 victory Saturday. McCray's two interceptions were a career high and is tied for the second-most in the nation this season. He returned his second pickoff 51 yards to set up an ASU touchdown. He also had a pass breakup in the game, a tackle-for-loss and six tackles. McCray (Colombus, Ga.) started every game at his safety position in 2010 and notched 79 tackles to rank third on the team and 12th in the Sun Belt Conference.
