01/06/2011 - Mallett is one of a handful of draft-eligible Razorbacks who have decisions to make in the next several days. The deadline for underclassmen to declare for the NFL Draft is Jan. 15 and who stays and who goes could have a big impact on Arkansas' chances of returning to the BCS. Receivers Joe Adams and Jarius Wright, defensive end Jake Bequette and linebacker Jerry Franklin have all said they have checked with the NFL Draft advisory board to gauge their pro possibilities. Mallett surely has, too, as well as injured Arkansas wideout Greg Childs. Wright and Franklin have said they're returning. Adams and Bequette said they'll decide what is best for their futures soon. Childs has not been available for comment. Mallett, meanwhile, said earlier this week he planned to talk to his family and will make a decision. If he leaves, Petrino said the interception will not define what Mallett has meant to the program the past two seasons. He is 18-8 as Arkansas' starting quarterback. "You really can't say enough about what Ryan's done for this program ..." Petrino said. - Robbie Neiswanger, Arkansas News Bureau
