12/27/2011 - Scouting the Louisville passing game: By the numbers, this isn't a great passing offense, but the Cardinals have looked a lot better with Bridgewater under center, and his improvement has been remarkable. He looks very comfortable in the pocket and has already emerged as a team leader, and with targets like DeVante Parker, Michaelee Harris, Eli Rogers and Josh Chichester, he has a lot of options to turn to here. - The Sports Xchange

08/11/2011 - Josh Chichester will play a key role this season, as a tight end who came to campus as a wide receiver and will be as comfortable lining up wide as he is on the line. The awards people are clearly optimistic about his abilities, as he's on the preseason watch list for the John Mackey Award, given to the best collegiate tight end. - The Sports Xchange

07/08/2011 - 2011 JOHN MACKEY AWARD PRESEASON WATCH LIST: Josh Chichester, Louisville, Sr, is one of 34 tight ends named to the Mackey Award preseason watch list for the 2001 college football season by the Nassau County (N.Y.) Sports Commission. The Mackey Award, named for NFL Hall of Famer John Mackey, is presented annually to college football's most outstanding tight end. Chichester, who played his first two seasons at wide receiver, enters his second season at tight end. Moving inside last fall, the Ohio native caught 22 passes for 317 yards, including five touchdowns, which was tied for tops on the team. He tallied a season-best four receptions for 66 yards in a win over Arkansas State and caught a 21-yard touchdown pass to help seal Louisville's 28-20 key road win over Syracuse. - Louisville football
